UNOPS and RAP Make Progress on Al-Kadan Melhan Road

In December 2023, Al-Kadan Melhan road sub-project in Al Mahwit Governorate was officially handed over to the contractor by Road Access Program (RAP). Prior to the handover, UNOPS and RAP collaboratively selected and designed the sub-project to ensure it met community needs.

Throughout the maintenance work, RAP will provide continuous supervision to guarantee the quality of work. The completion of the subproject is scheduled to be completed by November 2024. Given its labor-intensive nature, component 1 B was designed to ensure successful execution. The rehabilitated Al-Kadan Melhan road will significantly improve connectivity and accessibility in project areas, bringing substantial benefits to local communities and fostering economic growth.
